And then you notice you're growing up...

It's true, you know, the moment you realize you will have a completely different life in about a month from now, is kinda freaky. You finally realize you're growing up at last. The first tiny little steps you take in the 'real' adult life. I've been an adult (technically) for about 5 years now (jeeze, I'm getting old!) and I still didn't see myself as 'adult'. Now I'm realizing you finally grow up to be the adult you wanna be when you graduate. It's new to me, you know, job interviews, paper work, finances (the hardest part of it all),... I'm fortunate my mum knows a big deal of all of the above so she still helps me. The idea of doing all of this 'on my own' one day in the very near future is scary, but intriguing at the same time.

I got a call back from Thomas Cook yesterday. I passed the tests at the assessment day. I didn't think I'd make the cut, because I can't participate in the training week in Mallorca in June, but they are very understanding and they'll call me in June so that I can start my training on the location I'm assigned to in July. It's all a bit overwhelming. First a job offer at Unique as a multipurpose employee. I decided not to do that, because I don't want to be in traffic all day long (I'd be working in the area between Gand, Antwerp and Hasselt and I'd have a business car, but the job isn't really what I want).
Now then the job at Thomas Cook which would be great: I'd be abroad, using my languages and training my people skills....

I'm a big, big girl in a big, big world...
